In this brief concluding session, pupils look back over 300 years of history and make a judgement about the best time to have lived, applying what they have picked up in the previous 5 sessions and justifying their conclusion

- Pupils use timeline to locate key events and concept of duration
- Pupils reach an informed opinion giving 3 benefits of their chosen 80 years when people’s health was best
- In doing so show that they have rejected other possibilities and give reasons for this
Activity 1: Time teams
Working in groups of 5, pupils give themselves a name as a Time team. Their job is to be the team that most accurately places key breakthroughs in medicine on the dated timeline.
