This is a short activity in which pupils are asked to think of any uses of Braille they know of in everyday life, perhaps by showing the start of Magic Grandad video which introduces the idea of a Braille menu.
They are then shown another 6 examples on the PowerPoint, which is animated to float in an object first, followed by a caption explaining what it is.
They are, in order:
a. Mobile phone
d. Harry Potter book
e. Cash machine
The session concludes by looking at slides 5 and 6 which introduce the fact that Braille is now far less widely used.
