‘Historian’s palettes’ are designed to be used to support pupils’ writing in history. There will ultimately be a suite, each one focused directly on a key disciplinary concept. We start with using sources/enquiry and causation, soon to be followed by interpretations, chronology, characteristic features/diversity, change and continuity and significance.

For ease of use all will ultimately be placed on one single PowerPoint presentation the relevant slides being displayed while children are thinking how to best express their ideas, as a historian would. We hope you find them helpful. Any feedback, as always, much appreciated.
