Pupils draw on the 4 clues to underline why Amelia Earhart is seen as an important figure in history. They go beyond her as a daring aviator who broke lots of records to seeing her as an iconic role model for women inspiring them by her daring record-breaking flights, her work as a mechanic and her influential books and speeches which taught that women could do jobs just as well as men.
