Whilst we remain resolutely a professional development site which abhors quick fixes in education, we are facing increasing demand from class teachers (rather than subject leaders) to make the lessons on specific topics available at a low price. Although this goes against our principles, we have decided to experiment for a month or two making a number of lessons available for £5 and under on the basis that we’d rather teachers used the site than not. This does not mark a major departure in the way the site will continue to operate. We are totally against worksheets and dull routine comprehension activities and will never be lured down that path.
If you have a view on this or any other aspect of our pricing policy, we’d love to hear from you. After all, the main purpose of our existence is to give as many teachers as possible access to best practice in history teaching today. That we have to charge at all is largely due to the need to pay for copyright clearance on the high-quality images that make such a difference in the classroom. So, if you have a moment, we’d love to hear from you.
