Ancient Greece Enquiry 1; How can we possibly know so much about Ancient Greece 2,500 year ago?

Part 1 of this two-part enquiry is now available on request as an email attachment. Starting with visual clues from maps and photographs, pupils have to infer what the terrain and climate might tell us about Ancient Greece using the fun ‘fastest finger first’ approach. They then go into the implications of the terrain. What were the consequences of living in this sort of place?  5 key ideas are drawn out which are then woven through the fabric of later enquiries.

Part 2 deals with the evidence relating to the legend of Theseus and the Minotaur and is already on the site; an established and popular enquiry .
